AP ART & DESIGN COURSES
These are college level courses for serious art students who can demonstrate a high level of independent work and development in art. Students who are planning on studying visual art in college will find them particularly useful. AP Studio Art classes are based on the standards, expectations and rigor of college level art courses. Students must be highly focused and self-motivated. They will be expected to be open to instruction in class and able to devote a fair amount of time to independent work outside of class. This work needs to be high in quality and craftsmanship; therefore, successful completion of the prerequisite courses is required.

Students will learn to look at works of art critically, with intelligence and sensitivity, and to articulate what they see or experience.
